New Zealand lotteries: review 2020.02.03-09

Hello world!
We are delighted to announce the results of lotteries which took part in New Zealand during the last week (3-9 February).

Lotto

Being one of the oldest and the most popular lotteries in New Zealand, Lotto took place twice last week. The draws were live on Wednesday (5 February) and Saturday (8 February). For both of these draws, this lottery was divided into 3 parts: Lotto, Strike! and Powerball.

Overall, more than $50,000,000 were attached to the pool of this lottery during each game last week. There were nearly 1,000,000 winners who received a wide range of prizes from bonus tickets to jackpots. On Wednesday’s draw, 2 players won $500,000 each whereas there was 1 winner of the $1,000,000 prize on Saturday.

Keno

Keno is a lottery ongoing on a daily basis with draws taking place 4 times per day (10 AM, 1 PM, 3 PM and 6 PM) - therefore, players are quite proactive due to the frequency and difficulty level - this game is quite straight-forward and somehow similar to the popular game of bingo.

Summarizing all 28 sessions which took part during the last week, the multiplier of each draw was fluctuating from 1.5 to 10.

Bullseye

During the Bullseye lottery last week, the lucky numbers were as follows for the days of 3 February to 9 February in a particular order:27,875, 499,814, 496,197, 432,590, 398,899, 502,623, 90,457.

As a result, the average result of this jackpot number was 349,779. There was a single winner last week: the prize of $390,000 was received on Tuesday, 4 February. Additionally, there were no winners in the Division 2 which is often more possible to fall into (as there are more numbers which are eligible for the prize) - this could be seen as an unusual event. For the Division 3, there were 14 winners who received prizes from $278 to $1,254.

Although the number of popular lotteries in New Zealand is not that large, it is great to see that many of them receive a lot of attention due to the selected format. As they are ongoing on daily basis and offering particularly easy and convenient methods of gambling, it is always fun to take part in these.

Kudos to all winners and participants once again. Looking forward to delivering the result analysis to you next week!
